Ormco Corporation Celebrates A Record Year At The Forum 2016
World-Renowned Speakers, New Clinical Mentoring Sessions, and Collaborative Panels Among Highlights from Sold Out Event for Orthodontic Community
ORANGE, Calif. (April 4, 2016)—Ormco Corporation, a leading manufacturer and provider of advanced orthodontic technology and services, announced that The Forum 2016 was one of its most successful events to date, and the first time the annual user conference sold out. Welcoming 1,400 orthodontic professionals from 32 countries, the 15th annual event offered 99 engaging workshops including clinical mentoring sessions, panel discussions, and collaborative opportunities with 40 speakers and mentors. Hosted at the oceanfront Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Feb. 10-13, 2016, the conference included practice management sessions, case presentations and clinical lectures from world-renowned orthodontists, including Dwight Damon (Washington, U.S.), Chris Chang (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Stuart Frost (Arizona, U.S.) and Ramon Perèra (Lleida, Cataluña, Spain).
As the largest privately sponsored orthodontic event in North America, The Forum 2016 offered attendees the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops addressing beginner to advanced content on passive self-ligation mechanics, finishing, open bites, Class II and Class III treatment, digital smile design, practice enhancement, and more. Introduced this year, the clinical mentoring sessions served as a new interactive offering and were a highlight of The Forum. As participatory educational paths, these sessions addressed a variety of advanced clinical topics for doctor attendees interested in collaborative discussions. Further, Dr. Dwight Damon—inventor of the Damon™ System—delivered a thought-provoking presentation at The Forum’s general session, unveiling his vision for the future of orthodontics and discussing how he and Ormco are working closely to develop appliances that will advance the standard of orthodontic care.
“I know I’m not alone when I say The Forum 2016 was a spectacular event,” said Patrik Eriksson, president of Ormco. “The Forum continues to bring together today’s most progressive clinicians and their practice staff, and it’s inspiring to see professionals from around the world join us for such a unique educational opportunity. The personalization of components at this meeting, our 15th Forum, further demonstrated our commitment to delivering an experience where the orthodontic community can gather to create meaningful relationships, discuss the latest treatment modalities, and learn practice differentiation strategies with their peers.”
“Ormco’s events are always first class and The Forum is unquestionably the best meeting I can remember attending,” said Dr. Dale McCune, a Forum attendee. “The general session was outstanding and I really liked the formats of the mentoring sessions in relatively small groups. I will never attend another massive meeting again, and The Forum has definitely gone on my ‘must do’ list."
The Forum 2017 is scheduled to take place February 22-25, 2017 in Orlando, Fla. To see Ormco’s full schedule of upcoming CE courses and events, visit https://ormco.com/en-us/on-demand-webinars.
